Eating in Tartu: Cookbook

First Impressions

The restaurant is located in Tasku shopping center and is the second best restaurant there. It's a crossing between a cafe and a lunch restaurant - a lunchateria!

The restaurant is connected with the book store Rahva Raamat and the decor is inspired by the books. The interior is spacious and is influenced by Scandinavian design. The only downside is the shopping center environment that is restless and noisy.

The Food

The lunch offer is inexpensive and the quality of the food is high. One of the better lunch deals in Tartu. The soup is 2,80e and the lunch is 4,70e. This includes freshly baked hemp-seed bread and flavored water.

There are multiple cake options by Gustav. The carrot and Brita cake are always a sure choice. Again inexpensive and delicious. There are also a variety of coffee and tee selections.
